PERFECT SOLUTIONS FOR INDUSTRY

Top Mounted Mechanical Circulator

Circulation of Massecuite during Pan boiling plays a prime role in the proper growth of crystals and exhaustion of molasses. Mechanical Circulator gives a marked improvement in boiling and improves the quality of sugar. It permits a valuable gain in recovery and renders it possible to work with tighter massecuite.

The use of a Patented Impeller Design ensures the best circulation at the lowest power consumption. The flow generated by the impeller ensures uniform distribution of massecuite through the calandria tubes. This effectively enhances heat transfer and capacity utilization. It provides the means of achieving an acceptable heat transfer with a temperature difference as low as 20°C, compared to at least 45-50°C in the absence of a stirrer. The use of low-pressure vapor becomes possible, allowing reductions in the factory steam requirements.

Top Mounted Mechanical Circulator assembly consists of the following elements:

  • A shaft with a hub carrying impeller blades
  • A bearing housing with bearings supporting the shaft
  • The shaft is guided with Gun Metal Bush inside the Pan.
  • Top-mounted Drive system consisting of reduction gearbox and motor. The gearbox is coupled to the main shaft.

Advantages

  • Upto 30% saving in strike time of Pan.
  • Good circulation through the strike even with high viscosity massecuite.
  • Uniform grain size.
  • No false grain formation.
  • 20-30% increase in pan capacity.
  • Increase in crystal yield up to 5%.
  • The color removal has improved from 88% without circulator to 92% with circulator.
  • Sugar conglomerates counts have been reduced by about 80%.
  • Strike level in pans can be raised by 30-40 cm with the use of circulator.
